Warranty Policy

1. Introduction

This Warranty and Return Policy outlines the conditions under which TrekWise products may be returned, replaced, or repaired. This policy complies with the requirements of Australian Consumer Law. TrekWise is committed to providing high-quality products and services to our customers and will ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.

2. Warranty Coverage

2.1 Lifetime Warranty

All TrekWise products are covered by our lifetime warranty from the date of purchase as long as it is within the purchased subscription period. This warranty covers any manufacturing defects or hardware malfunctions that may arise during normal use. This warranty clause is invalidated if there is any break in subscription period.

2.2 Battery Warranty

Batteries come with a 1-year warranty from the date of purchase and extend through the subscription period. Warranty is void if subscription lapses.

2.3 Warranty Exclusions

The warranty does not cover the following:

  • Normal wear and tear of the product.
  • Cosmetic damage, including but not limited to scratches, dents, and general aging.
  • Damage caused by misuse, abuse, or improper installation of the product.
  • Unauthorized modifications, repairs, or alterations.
  • Damage caused by external factors, including but not limited to accidents, natural disasters, or power surges.

2.4 Voiding of Warranty

The warranty is void if the product has been altered, modified, or repaired by anyone other than TrekWise or an authorized service provider.

3. Warranty Claims

3.1 Initiating a Warranty Claim

To initiate a warranty claim, please contact TrekWise Support at support@trekwise.com or +1 800 123 4567. Our support team will guide you through the troubleshooting process and determine if the issue is covered under warranty.

3.2 Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA)

If the issue is deemed to be covered by warranty, TrekWise will issue a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. Products returned without an RMA number may not be accepted.

3.3 Inspection and Resolution

Upon receiving the product, TrekWise will inspect it to verify the warranty claim. If the product is found to be defective, TrekWise will either repair or replace it at no cost to the customer. Warranty claims will be processed within 7-10 business days of receipt.

4. Consumer Rights Under Australian Law

This Warranty and Return Policy is in addition to your rights under Australian Consumer Law. Under Australian Consumer Law, customers are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. If the failure is not major, customers are entitled to have the product repaired within a reasonable time.
